Acute Healthcare is working in partnership with Galen Health, to provide state of the art healthcare and services to meet the primary care needs of our patients, with a view to work with our patients to ensure optimum health at all times. For us and our patients there is no comprise, only the best will do. Our aim is to work in collaboration with our patients to deliver the best primary and preventative care, whilst enabling patients to take control and have access to a medical team that understands their needs, from health checks up, diagnosis and disease management. Our ethos is to facilitate the patient pathway, removing the stress away from the patient, to allow them to focus on making decisions jointly with our teams.

We have developed excellent links and partnership working with diagnostic and screening and provide on site diagnostics offering a streamlined service. Acute Healthcare has worked with Galen Health to develop a comprehensive Specialist Directory whereby our patients have ongoing access and referral pathways to other specialist service providers within the area.

For Acute Healthcare this is an ongoing project, which will continue to develop as we move with the times, and adapt according to the needs of our patients, and developments in the healthcare and technology.

Acute Healthcare has worked in partnership with Galen Health to achieve Care Quality Commission accrediation and registration. The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is the independent regulator of health and social care in England. CQC regulates care provided by the NHS, local authorities, private companies and voluntary organisations, with the aim to make sure better care is provided for everyone.

CQC register and license, care services if they meet essential standards and we will monitor them to make sure they continue to do so. All registered services must demonstrate compliance with National Standards.

CQC has a range of legal powers and duties. These include:

• To ensure Service providers are meeting the essential standards of quality and safety

• To conduct regular reviews of how well those who arrange and provide services locally are performing

In line with the CQC registration and accreditation, the clinic has a legal responsibility to ensure all services are safe and compliant with National and Legal standards.

As an Independent Healthcare Provider Galen Health is registered as a provider recognised as Private Doctors and as such will be assessed and reviewed on an annual basis, to ensure compliance. In addition to the annual review, Galen Health is required to submit regular reports throughout the year to CQC in relation to performance and service reviews.
