Acute Healthcare is working with PCTs across North and East London to provide Primary Care Services for patients suffering from substance misuse and for those patients presenting with challenging and/or aggressive behaviour. We also extend our services to patients with forensic mental health problems, to ensure optimum physical health and access to our primary care clinical team. Our clinical team deliver the service in line with NHS requirements, and work with NHS colleagues to streamline the patient pathway, as well as policy and procedure implementation and review.
For us, the well being of the patient and good health outcomes are of paramount importance. As stated by National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) 2002, primary care professionals have an important part to play in the physical well being of this group of patients. In support of this, our clinical team provide weekly appointments for these patients, and ensure patients have a full medical examination and ongoing primary care support, working to NHS standards, in terms of service delivery, clinical records, and onward referrals for further investigation if required
